We took the most comonly asked for mods in a standard PLCE Bergen as issued to the UK Forces from the A-Z and basically manufactured from scratch a all in one package which combines all the asked modifications, bells and whistles and with feedback from some of the previous users and requests from the civilian world – here you have a civ-div version.
Made of 1000D, the standard – The 1000D nylon fabric is very non-porous and waterproof that allows the water to just roll off the surface without getting absorbed.
The Pathfinder Rucksack is the ideal hiking companion and the perfect rucksack for camping and outdoors, being waterproof fabric and all compartments waterproof as well.
If your looking for the best than you’ve found it here, this is the Pathfinder Bergen in Olive Green, this is our Green version of our Pathfinder Bergen aka the true rucksack of a spartan; civilian friendly but with the Security and Police users in mind, comes a multitude of features that the standard doesn’t have without intense modding and also comfort and adjustability, a King amongst Kings when it comes to load bearing, 150 Litre capacity, and inbuilt features to store all your kit efficiently without having to fumble about in the field. This is our Civilian friendly version made in OLIVE GREEN, great for campers!
Made from 1000 Denier Fabric and has two removable side pockets covering a mesh pocket, retained by elastic when not in use. Under the mesh side pockets there is a flat pocket for shelter poles or other items.
The front of the Pathfinder Bergen features a triple utility pouch and poncho pouch on the front. The poncho pouch incorporates a lid that closes over the main zip and contains a separate peg pouch. The triple pouch features storms hoods and side release buckles.
Remember it’s the true Bergen of a spartan!
The floating top lid features a pocket on inside and large pocket on the top. The top pocket features a 3 sided zip that hinges open to reveal 2 small and one large mesh pockets with elastic loops and MOLLE on the inside of the lid for kit organisatio in the outdoors
The unique backing system of the Pathfinder Bergen features contoured S-Shaped shoulder straps with a sternum strap and spacer mesh padding. Spacer Mesh back support system with two long vertical pads that promote air flow run either side of the spine that flow into a lumber support pad for added comfort. This allows the operator to carry the load in the most comfortable way over long periods of time.
To keep the posture when carrying the Pathfinder Bergen, it houses an internal aluminium frame. Removable waist belt with MOLLE to allow pouches to be attached. Compression straps ensure any load can be secured and safely carried.

The bergan has been well thought out and has all the modifications you would want. From a three sided top zip through to a removable hip belt if you are wearing belt kit. It is well made with a huge amount of space that can be reduced down by removing the side pouches. The green allows you to use it as a Bushcraft bergan but throw an MTP cover over it and it would sit at home on exercise in the military. I am looking forward to putting it through its paces.

Just to let you know I received the Pathfinder Bergen and am very happy with it. As per my previous inquiry to you I purchased a side pouch yolk in OG (New) and it attaches to the side pouches perfectly. The only difference is that your clips are OG and the army ones are black. Which of course is not an issue at all. THANKS FOR THE SUPERDOOPER BERGEN!!!!

If like me you have a long torso this may not be for you. However it is very well put together. All stitching is good and the materials used are up to military standard. Fully loaded this thing is huge. You will need to take it off to enter a standard door frame. The side pockets can be unzipped and untethered which solves any such issues and still offers huge space. You won’t need to buy small compressed equipment instead focus on weight reduction. Not used it yet quality but it’s cool.

I’ve been military (Infanteer) for 19 years and just left. I’ve spent £1000s on kit over the years and purchased a bergan for almost £400. This bergan is absloutly value for money, construction is fantastic up there with the best and more expensive ones, the difference it’s not branded that’s it. The only comment I will say is the chest strap is too high it needs to come down so it’s parallel to the chest close to the nipple line, but I can live with it. Thanks Kitpimp love it!

The ultimate bit of ally kit! Excellent in all aspects, from the “Fan Dance” to river crossings, this piece of kit has all the support you need out in the field. Very strong buckles, no need for sniper tape, it’s very sturdy and supporting on the shoulders and back. Enough room for even double Arctic doss bags. Highly recommend ????

*if I was to make one adjustment it would be with the straps that feed through the side pouches, when you take the sides of their is nowhere to stow the strap (I just used a hair bobble) ! But I am nit picking here. The Bergan is incredible and would recommend to anyone.
