Recieving your item via the BFPO aka Royal Mail

The British Forces Post Office (BFPO) is a Royal Mail-associated service that provides mail and parcel delivery for UK Military and Ministry of Defence (MOD) personnel worldwide. This service ensures that members of the armed forces can receive their parcels safely and efficiently, no matter where they are deployed, training, or serving.

Recently, we have seen an increase in orders for webbing, patrol packs, and bergens being sent internationally via BFPO delivery. As a result, it is important to enter all delivery details correctly to avoid delays or misdelivery. If you need guidance at any point, please use our “Contact Us” form and include your current allocated BFPO number. Our team will be happy to advise and answer any questions.

Addressing Your Delivery Correctly

When filling in the delivery address for BFPO delivery, there are a few key points to follow:

  1. Always include your BFPO number in the relevant address field.

  2. Use the correct UK postcode associated with your BFPO number. For full clarification on postcodes and numbers, see the official government website.

  3. Do not enter the country you are currently deployed in. The UK is always the delivery country, regardless of location.

For example: If a customer is deployed in Seria, Brunei, their parcel would use BFPO 11 and the UK postcode BF1 3AG. The country field should remain “United Kingdom”. There is no need to include the overseas location, although our dispatch team will usually double-check and correct the address if necessary.

Providing Complete Information

To ensure smooth processing of your order and prompt BFPO delivery:

  • Include your full rank, service number, and full name.

  • Include your unit details, if applicable.

  • Provide your current allocated BFPO number.

Providing this information helps prevent delays and ensures your items reach you efficiently and securely.

Example Address

Below is an example of a correctly formatted address for BFPO delivery:

12345678 LCPL B Jones
B Company, 1 Loamshire Regiment
BFPO 61
BFPO BF1 2AY

In summary, always use your BFPO number and the correct UK postcode, never list the country you are deployed in, and include all personal and unit details. Furthermore, if you have any questions or need guidance with BFPO delivery, contact our team via the “Contact Us” form, and we will assist you to ensure your items arrive safely and on time.
