What to look for when buying MTP Webbing

Webbing the traditional belt kit of the British Armed Forces and a convinient way of carrying your kit, now in MTP which replaced the traditional DPM.

A colleague currently in the Reserves whom is a JNCO and has done a tour on Herrick will publishing some guides on how things are really done in the field and due to PERSEC concerns is alias will be Gizmo.

Obviously we are a business and we retail MTP webbing we manufacture ourselves like other kit, it’s hand made and thus is time consuming to make, it’s made using industrial machinery and not just the expertise and machinery makes a good set but also the stuff it is actually made from.

We start with things like quality control, we make a set up from similar spec fabrics like plain colored fabric and draw a set up, this is than smashed apart, tugged, pulled and than we know for sure if this will take a beating in the field.

We than look at what we can do to improve the “value for money factor”, now at this point we look at other competitors on the market and look at their prices, we look at what they are doing, it’s at this stage it’s really easy to identify what they’ve missed.

Let’s be honest, UK manufactured kit from a company isn’t cheap but as they say, buy cheap buy twice, and as a company we try to offer a premium product at a reasonable price by offering alot more for less whilst still assuring our clients they will be getting a superior product!

Our kit now comes with a 30 day money back guarentee so your free to having it in your own hands and see for yourself how much love has gone into making these up and knowing your are getting top dollar kit for less price, hence our phrase “more for less!”.

We use only genuine military spec UK made infra-red reflective MTP fabric which is infra-red reflective, durable water repellant and is also the same used to make issue kit itself.

We don’t stop there, our current webbing has now had all pouches PVC lined so even underneath that tough durable water repellant IRR fabric is a layer of waterproof PVC lining, so nothing will be getting wet.

We have also made sure the buckles used in the kit are top spec and UK issue spec from ITW Nexus, upon reciept you can look and see the smallest details haven’t not been missed, these are the same buckles used in issue kit themselves.

For the things like Utility pouches we also storm hoods, which is basically a lood with a loop stitched into top of utility pouch to create a more weather proof seal over contents, and there was us thinking it can’t get any better!

All our webbing sets include loops next to the left hand ammo pouch to accomodate a PLCE Bayonet frog or MOLLE type for those Infantry bods and also 2 metal D-rings for taking an ammunition dump pouch.

When buying your self make sure you know what you are buying MTP Webbing, some sets are simply made of a similar pattern colour which is not only cheap copy cat coluring but also poorer quality and it’s also not IRR!
