The Snugpak Scorpion 3 IX™ is a sleek angled compact three-person tent. It is a ‘Fly-First’ pitch tent that allows a quick and easy set-up with an opposing pole design, that keeps condensation build-up to a minimum. The inner tent is made of a No-See-Um Mesh Mosquito Net to keep out bugs, snakes, etc.

The Snugpak Scorpion 3 tent is a compact 3-man fly-first tent created to operate in severe weather in all seasons.

The Scorpion 3 IX™ WGTE will shelter you from the worst four-season weather, with a 5000mm hydrostatic head (HH) polyurethane (PU) coated flysheet, with taped seams. The Scorpion 3 IX™ WGTE has an impressive sleeping space, measuring 220cm/87” long and 110cm/43” wide, creating ample room for three people in a top-toe sleeping arrangement with an additional spacious front porch for extra storage. In an emergency, there is enough space to accommodate up to six people sitting down.

Being a fly-first pitch tent means that you set up the flysheet first rather than pitching the tent first and then erecting the flysheet. This has the benefit of creating your shelter first and giving you immediate protection if it is raining. You then complete the setup by fixing the tent inner to the fly from the inside.

The Scorpion 3 is lightweight considering it is capable of sleeping 3 people. At just 3.4kg including all components (fly, tent, poles, guy ropes & stakes) it is easy to carry in its supplied stuff sack.

The components can also be shared between people to make the carrying even easier.

Snugpak use premium materials in their products and the Scorpion 3 benefits from extremely waterproof flysheet and inner tent materials. They are both coated with a 5000mm polyurethane which guarantees no water will penetrate the tent.

The flysheet is 210t Polyester Rip Stop and the inner tent is 190t Nylon with Polyester mesh vents which keep out the mosquitos but allow for air to circulate helping to keep you comfortable.

Along the inside of the inner tent are 10 mesh pockets and a hanging loop that are great for keeping your gear off the ground but easily accessible.

The black inner tent helps to keep out bright light and glare in the mornings and allows you to sleep in all environments.

The supplied stuff sack keeps your tent compact when carrying in your rucksack or vehicle and the straps allow it to easily be attached to any other equipment you have.
