Multicam Update – What to Expect
Just a quick update for everyone.
Due to consistent customer demand—especially from our friends over in the USA—we’ll be introducing select items from our range in MultiCam camouflage.
This will initially focus on core items such as patrol packs, webbing, and selected accessories.
Why Not the Full Range in Multicam?
The main reason comes down to cost.
Genuine licensed Multicam—developed by Crye Precision—is significantly more expensive than the licensed MTP fabrics we currently use in our core range. This difference becomes even more pronounced when working with heavier materials like 1000D nylon.
As a result, it’s not currently viable for us to offer larger items such as Bergens in 1000D Multicam while maintaining the pricing you’re used to.
Why We’re Choosing 500D Multicam
To make Multicam a realistic option, we’ll be trialling products in 500D Multicam nylon.
This is a deliberate decision.
While 1000D is known for maximum durability, 500D provides a much better balance between strength, weight, and cost. It’s lighter, more flexible, and still highly durable for the vast majority of real-world use.
Modern 500D fabrics have improved significantly, offering excellent abrasion resistance without the stiffness and bulk of 1000D.
Performance vs Practicality
For most users, 500D Multicam delivers everything needed in the field:
- Strong and durable construction
- Reduced weight for better comfort
- Greater flexibility and usability
In contrast, 1000D—while extremely tough—can be unnecessarily heavy and rigid for general use.
This isn’t about cutting corners—it’s about choosing the right material for how the gear is actually used.
What Products Will Be Included
We’ll begin by introducing Multicam across some of our most popular categories:
- Patrol Packs
- Webbing
- Accessories
We’ll also be producing samples and sharing updates as development progresses.
Design Updates Based on Feedback
Alongside the fabric changes, we’re also improving some of our core designs.
Updates to the Patrol Pack will include:
- A waist belt
- Longer shoulder straps
These changes come directly from customer feedback.

Final Thoughts
Moving to 500D Multicam allows us to deliver gear that is:
- Durable
- Lightweight
- Functional
- Cost-effective
While 1000D Multicam remains ideal for extreme-use scenarios, it’s simply not practical for this release due to cost and usability factors.
This approach ensures we maintain the quality you expect—while keeping products accessible and fit for purpose.
