From the same company which innovated the replacement for Hexamine tablets as a solution for heating up water and cooking in the field with Firedragon, this is a perfect accompanying for the current issued gel fuel.
The Crusader Cooking Unit is made up of a number of components and some are currently NATO issue as well with appropriate NSN numbers.
Use with the issued FireDragon cooking blocks for best effect! These blocks themselves are notoriously easy to clean and also available for purchase instore!
Crusader Metal Mug
The cup canteen is designed to fit beneath the NATO water bottle or as part of the BCB Complete Cooking System and doubles as a cooking pot.
It is constructed of high-grade stainless steel; this version has a metal finish and it is also available in a black PTFE coating which means it’s easier to clean.
This item is used by lots of members of the British Forces and fits the issue 58 pattern water bottle thus replacing the plastic mug with basically a metal improved version.
The Crusader Cup Canteen is NATO approved and comes in either a black PFTE finish OR a high-grade stainless steel, which ever option you opt for both are quality items.

Crusader Cooker
An innovative new Hexi solid and gel fuel field cooker which as stated accepts both the issued Firedragon fuel as well as NATO hexi fuel, this gem fits below the actual metal mug itself.
An integral folding arm allows the cup to fit securely over a fuel crucible where gel fuel or solid hexamine fuel blocks can be lit.
A small slot provides efficient air intake whilst the walls of the cooker provide shielding against the wind.
In transit, the cooker nests neatly and compactly beneath the cup as shown in the pictures.
Boils 500ml (17floz) of water in under 6 minutes.
Also integrates with the British Military issue ’90 pattern water bottle and mug – water bottle fits inside the Cup, although we recommend using the entire solution together.

The BLACK PTFE coating is available – which means it’s easier to clean some would suppose, we can’t really comment because it’s a bit after our time
